Susan and Neil decided that I must at some point…in the NEAR future watch Drive. Not too difficult a request considering I had a copy of it sitting on my desk that I just hadn’t gotten around to. Tonight seemed like as good a night as any.

Yesterday was my 33rd birthday. I celebrated with friends and family at dinner last night and I hope fun was had by all. My geek girl was definitely represented...by the fact that my mom decorated the table with little boxes of Nerds (candy) or by the gifts I was given. A Doctor Who coffee mug and the first season of South Park were among the many generous gifts.

In light of our recent book podcast I thought I'd post my thoughts on one of my all-time favorite literary characters. What a long strange trip it’s been. I began the journey with Youth In Revolt 15 years ago and earlier this year read Revolting Youth.

I don’t think I was supposed to like Entourage. At its surface the male-centric series doesn’t seem like the kind of show a woman can take comfort in; particularly a woman who finds very little appealing about getting drunk, getting high, and getting laid with a guy who is most likely not going to call the next day.
